Why We Combine BBL® HERO™ and Halo®

At our clinic, we often recommend combining BBL HERO™ and Halo® during the same appointment because they each target different aspects of skin ageing. While both treatments are highly effective individually, together they create a more complete approach to skin rejuvenation.

BBL HERO uses pulses of broad-spectrum light to selectively target unwanted pigment, redness and visible sun damage, helping to restore a clearer, more even skin tone.

Halo is a hybrid fractional laser that works differently. It creates controlled microscopic treatment zones within the skin to stimulate collagen production while resurfacing the skin, improving texture, fine lines, enlarged pores and overall skin quality.

These concerns occur at different depths within the skin. Pigmentation and vascular changes are treated with BBL HERO, while Halo targets both the skin’s surface and deeper tissue to stimulate collagen remodelling and improve the skin’s structure. By combining the two treatments, we’re able to address both skin tone and skin quality in a single treatment plan, delivering results that are often more comprehensive than either treatment alone.

Why Perform Them Together?

Although BBL HERO and Halo can be performed separately, combining them allows us to treat multiple concerns during the same visit, creating a coordinated treatment that works in harmony.

We perform BBL HERO first to target pigmentation and redness before following with HALO to resurface the skin and stimulate collagen. Rather than treating one concern, waiting for recovery, and then addressing another, the skin undergoes one integrated rejuvenation process.

Maintaining Your Results

We often think of a combined BBL HERO + Halo treatment as creating the foundation for healthier skin.

Once that foundation has been established, maintenance BBL treatments can be performed throughout the year to manage new pigmentation, redness and the effects of ongoing sun exposure before they become more noticeable. Halo can then be repeated as needed to maintain collagen stimulation and continue improving skin texture and quality.

This staged approach allows patients to enjoy the benefits of an initial comprehensive rejuvenation treatment while using regular BBL maintenance to help preserve their results and support long-term skin health.
